Streambox Premieres Korean Streaming Portal

Streambox, Inc. Friday officially launched its Streambox Korea Web site, delivering to Korean consumers a streaming media search engine with over one million files in both Microsoft Windows Media and RealNetworks audio and video formats.

With nine categories -- Music, Film, Live, Entertainment, TV, Radio, Sports, News, and wEiRd -- Streambox Korea will present reviews of streams culled from the Internet.

"Today's launch opens up a whole new world of rich media experiences for Korean people worldwide, and represents the future of broadband content for the Internet," said Robert Hildeman, CEO and chairman of Streambox. "By leveraging our proprietary searching and streaming technologies, as well as our business relationships, we're able to give our Korean partners a model that can be built quickly in Internet time.

The next international launch for Streambox.com will be Streambox Japan, in the first quarter of 2000.
