Sausage to Acquire Method+Madness

Sausage Software has announced its intention to acquire Perth-based Web development company Method+Madness.

The acquisition which is subject to formal contract documentation, will give Sausage a national multimedia division and leverage to capture the corporate Web development market.

"Method+Madness delivers Sausage a team of highly experienced and commercially focussed Web developers," said Wayne Bos, CEO of Sausage. Stephen Langsford, director of Method+Madness, added that "joining Sausage will mean that we now have access to the significant financial and intellectual resources of the group which will translate to better services for our client."

"It will also provide us with an infrastructure to grow our national and international client base and open new possibilities for our Perth-based staff," Langsford said.

With a team of 40, Method+Madness has such clients as Mercantile Mutual, West Australian Newspapers, Bank West, Hartley Ponyton and the West Australian government.

Forty percent of Sausage is owned by national carrier Telstra, and a five percent stake is also held by Intel.
