Mortice Kern Systems Inc.'s Integrity Framework was selected by Germany's Giesecke & Devrient to manage its Web-based development and deployment of systems for banknote printing, smart cards, cryptographic software and security systems.
Giesecke & Devrient has a intranet-based remote development and knowledge management environment which allows them to export all pre-approved application data to local development environments, without the need to acquire local government approval for individual transfers.
MKS Source Integrity Select Edition will facilitate deployment through management controls.
Giesecke & Devrient CEO Willi Berchthold said that MKS Source Integrity Select, with its support for remote development teams combined with its controls, process capabilities and audit trails was the ideal software management solution for them. Giesecke & Devrient is selling its knowledge management solution, code named B.E.S.T., which will be debuted publically at the CeBIT tradeshow in February.
Additional requirements included central logging capabilities for all transactions inside the environment to fulfill government reporting requirements.
