European Radio Network Launches EuroMix Online

European Radio Network (ERN) has launched EuroMix Online, a Web site that provides Internet radio listeners with full access to streamed audio from ERN's multi-lingual radio station.

ERN, part of London-based World Radio Network (WRN), is hosting the new site which has been designed by Adept Web in Ramsgate.

Other features to be found at EuroMix Online are full access to information about the four ERN stations, entry forms for ERN competitions, and links to contributing broadcasters.

"WRN is at the forefront of broadcasting technology and the new EuroMix web site will reflect not only this, but also the rich cultural diversity of Europe," said Chantal Cooke, ERN project manager.

Later in 2000, there will also be full streaming access to the three new EuroMax stations (note: "EuroMix" and "EuroMax" are separate brands).

WRN will launch its first EuroMax station, broadcasting in German, on January 18. This will be followed by French and English stations in the second half of the year.

On the Internet, WRN currently offers an audio-on-demand service which includes programmes in more than a dozen different languages. It also provides a live relay of its English and German language services on Real Audio and Microsoft's Media Player.

WRN has been on-air since 1993, its 24-hour-a-day English language serice WRN1 being available throughout Europe, the Middle East, Africa, Asia, Pacific and North America.
