WebSideStory Expands HitBox's Reach Into France

WebSideStory Monday released a French-language version of HitBox Enterprise service, a Web audience measurement technology geared toward enterprise-class clients.

WebSideStory develops Internet-based Web audience analysis tools.

HitBox Enterprise enables customers to monitor, in real time, hundreds of visitor traffic statistics for one or more Web sites.

The release of the French-language HitBox Enterprise is part of WebSideStory's expansion into the European market. Last month, the company announced it would begin marketing HitBox Enterprise in both France and Germany. Its French subsidiary, WebSideStory SAS, recently moved into new offices in La Defense, a suburb of Paris.

"We believe HitBox Enterprise en Francais is the most valuable Web audience analysis solution available in France today," said Blaise Barrelet, chairman and founder of WebSideStory, in a statement released by the WebSideStory.

Companies that have recently signed on for HitBox Enterprise trial accounts include Aderly, an economic development agency in the Lyon region of France; DNS, a regional daily newspaper in the Rhone-Alpes area; and ABC NetMarketing, which provides an Internet commercial and marketing online guide.

Previously announced HitBox Enterprise trials include iBazar Group, one of France's largest providers of free Web pages; NCTech, a Web hosting and Internet consulting firm and a subsidiary of France Telecom; FranceNet, an Internet service provider; and World Online, a Web portal that offers free Internet access.

WebSideStory provides Internet technologies and services designed to bridge the gap between Web sites and their audiences. WebSideStory products are HitBox, a powerful Web audience analysis service; HitBox.com, a Webmaster resource center and community of independent Web sites; StatMarket.com, a source for data about global Internet user trends; and Yep.com, a Web portal that ranks sites by popularity and quality.

Within its network, WebSideStory analyzes and stores data from billions of Web page views. This has created a warehouse of raw Internet user data that WebSideStory converts into useable information.
