Driveway Forges Alliance with Bigstep.com

Driveway this week joined forces with free eBusiness service center Bigstep.com to deliver online storage service to small businesses.

As part of the agreement, Bigstep.com has built a co-branded service which allows Driveway members to use Bigstep.coms services to create their own company web sites, communicate with customers, take credit card orders, and market their sites. Driveway will receive payment for each member who establishes a Bigstep.com account through driveway.com. Prior to the partnership, Driveway had more than 2.5 million members.

"Driveway.com creates a virtual network, allowing small business professionals to store and organize their information in a universally available location," said Andrew Beebe, chief executive officer, Bigstep.com.

Bigstep.com members will have access to driveway.coms anytime, anywhere online storage services providing customers a secure place on the Web to hold company documents, including corporate logos, newsletters, press releases and basic reports, as well as personal files.

"Our shared members will be able to use Driveway to store all of their online files and images to be used in their Bigstep.com web sites," said Mike Zukerman, vice president, business development, Driveway.

Driveway's alliance with the small business eBusiness solutions company follows recent partnerships with EMC, LookSmart, Lycos, Microsoft, McAfee.com and USA.net.

Bigstep.com is a do-it-yourself, online service center. Its service guides users through site-building activities and offers the opportunity to make unlimited changes at any time. The service also allows small businesses to communicate with customers and create customized e-mail newsletters, market the site, accept credit cards, track visitors, and more.
