euro909 Registers 3000 Domain Names for Single Client

Internet solutions integrator euro909.com said Monday it has registered 3,080 top-level domains in more than 100 global, generic and country categories for a single European client.

euro909.com has carried out the $1 million project in order to protect the copyright interests of its client worldwide.

euro909.com would not disclose the client's identity. However, it also mentions that the client is a "Scandinavian-based multi-national."

The latest euro909.com project highlights the fact that there is money to be made in the domain registration business by performing legitimate services. Less scrupulous operators have tried poaching corporate names and selling them back to the companies concerned.

Aldo Petersen, president and chief executive officer for euro909.com, said the new order pushed up the number of domains his company has registered for corporate clients to more than 60,000.

"This corporate milestone reinforces our strategy of becoming a leading domain registration consultant for Europe's business community," said Petersen.

Petersen went on to say that euro909.com had strengthened its legal department and was reaping the benefits of having done so.

euro909.com works on a very broad front in the European Internet industry, equipping small to medium-sized companies with Internet capabilities and e-commerce solutions, while at the same time running consumer sites, a search engine, online magazines and retail shops.

euro909.com maintains offices in Denmark, France, Norway, Sweden, and the U.K.
