Rentals.com, the Redwood City-based provider of online residential rental management services, is launching a Web site builder today. The company also announced a partnership with the National Apartment Association.
Rental.com's Web site builder enables owners and managers to create "virtual" rental offices to market and manage their businesses both online and off. Owners and managers set up their own interactive Web sites through Rental.com's Web builder. They can also utilize tools to develop advertising, screen applications, collect rent payments or interact with prospective and current residents.
"Rental.com's Web builder was developed by property owners and managers who have used it to market and manage their large portfolios of residential properties," says Rentals.com CEO Vince Giovannotto. "We've tailored this technology to meet the needs of all owners and managers in the residential rental market.
Rental.com's Web site builder lets owners and managers not only process rental applications and payments online, but also obtain news and advice from experts in the Real Estate Industry.
"Through Rentals.com, owners and managers can create personalized Web sites with custom Web site addresses," says Giovannotto. "In addition, they have access to all the resources they need to manage the entire rental process and improve communications with prospective and current residents."
Rental.com also says it will sponsor two NAA education programs, the Certified Apartment Property Supervisor Program and the Rental Owners Course. The two programs were outdated and Rental.com is sponsoring the programs to update them for current members.
"Were a company that came out of the rental industry and we recognize the importance of NAA's education programs to the industry," says Rental.com Vice President of Association and Industry Terry Feinberg. "Our involvement is a combination of altruism and marketing, the NAA members represent our customer base, and we want to be involved in the issues, programs and areas that are important to them."
Rentals.com was founded in February 1999 and is aimed at the nation's 10 million rental property owners and managers. The company serves both traditional large apartment communities and single-family homes. Rentals.com company model is based on an online property management system for owners and managers.
