Everybody's a critic when it comes to Web sites. Now you can be one too.
The International Academy of Digital Arts & Sciences says its 350-member Academy has had a chance to vote for its favorite Web site. It's now your turn. The Academy is asking that you exercise your democracy and cast your write-in-vote for the 5th Annual Webby Awards.
There are 27 categories with five nominees each. The categories run the gamut from Politics and Music to Humor and Finance.
The deadline for write-in-voting is July 4, 2001, but don't worry about hanging chads, PricewaterhouseCoopers is in charge of counting the votes.
Winners will be announced by ABC newsman Sam Donaldson during the live Webby Awards Webcast on July 18 2001 on ABCNEWS.com. The Webcast will be beamed live from the San Francisco War Memorial Opera House beginning at 10 PM EDT.
Widely hailed as the "Oscars of the Internet," The Webby Awards is an international honor for Web sites and individual achievement in technology and creativity.
