IntraNetics Enters Europe With Packaged Intranet Applications

IntraNetics, of Boston, Massachusetts, entered the European market with French, German and Dutch versions of its intranet-in-a-box software, IntraNetics 97.

Available on a single CD, IntraNetics 97 is thought to be the first packaged intranet software to have been translated for European users.

"Having recently expanded our operations into the Netherlands, IntraNetics is committed to developing software customized for the rapidly growing European marketplace," said Steve Crummey, president and CEO of IntraNetics. "We are confident IntraNetics will become an essential communications tool for the day-to-day operations and long-term success of small to medium-sized businesses."

The IntraNetics product is being distributed throughout Europe by value added resellers and distributors. Among them is The Landis Group, N.V.

"With IntraNetics, we were able to significantly improve information sharing and communications among employees in five countries," said Landis CEO Paul Kuiken. "Our successful deployment of the product, cost-effectiveness and return on investment were instrumental in our decision to distribute IntraNetics through our authorized dealer network."

With IntraNetics, a company can maintain employee records; create organisational charts; develop, sort and search business contacts; organise job listings; create location maps and issue driving instructions; generate expense reports; store and download the latest presentations; use a corporate calendar of events, projects and meetings; publish company newsletters; broadcast editorial coverage; create discussion groups; and be kept informed via a customised newsfeed from 650 different sources.

The cost of the IntraNetics product for international markets is $4,995 for an unlimited number of user licenses.
