CareerOne Technology Delivers Industry Efficiency

Online recruitment and career management service CareerOne has entered into an agreement with data retrieval and processing firm Digital Motorworks to provide an automated process for uploading job adverts.

CareerOne, part of the News Interactive network, the online business unit of News Limited, expects the deal to provide cost savings and efficiencies across the recruiting industry.

The previous system, where recruiters manually uploaded files to a range of different sites and formats, will be replaced by the fully automated process to work online across a number of different systems.

The new system automatically extracts the relevant raw data required to build a recruitment advert directly from the customer database, Web site or file. The facility then electronically submits a converted file directly to the CareerOne site, as well as other employment sites.

CareerOne general manager David Stewart said the move offered a solution for recruiters across the industry. "Many online employment sites have hampered the efficiencies of the system by trying to 'secure their own turf'. We believe it is more important to work with our customers to let them get back to their core business - recruiting," he said.
