It's here: The much-anticipated Apple iPhone 4 hit store shelves today. Not surprisingly, massive crowds were on-hand to pounce on the new device, which sold out its available preorder units earlier this month.

That's in spite of some elements of the launch -- and the iPhone 4's initial unveiling -- that may not have gone entirely according to plan. For instance, there were the widely discussed leaks of iPhone 4 prototypes in the Bay Area and in Taiwan, as well as technical issues hampering some attempts at iPhone 4 preorders.

Nevertheless, all signs are pointing to another successful debut for an Apple iPhone. Enterprise Mobile Today takes a look at the frenzy surrounding the newest launch.


Huge crowds mobbed Apple Stores around the country Thursday morning to be among the first to get their hands on the ultra-hyped Apple iPhone4 smartphones, perhaps the most sought after device in recent consumer electronics history.

At the Apple Store at Town Square Mall in Las Vegas, a sales associate told InternetNews.com that dozens of people were queued up well in advance of the store's 7 a.m. opening and they all had only one thing on their minds.
