HP Inks $2 Billion Enterprise Services Contract

Hewlett-Packard's IT services and support business continues to boom following the company's blockbuster acquisition of EDS two years ago.

IT Channel Planet has the story on HP's latest big IT services contract with General Motors. The $2 billion deal will also involve Microsoft and PricewaterhouseCoopers. HP will be responsible for supporting tens of thousands of desktop PCs and mobile devices as well as GM's overall technology roadmap.


HP secured a major contract renewal as part of a $2 billion agreement with automaker General Motors, the companies announced Tuesday.

Under terms of the agreement, HP (NYSE: HPQ) will manage GM's (NYSE: GM) technology infrastructure covering everything from network, workplace and mainframe management to applications and systems integration services for GM's global operations.
