IT Staffers Upbeat on the Economy and Jobs

But CIO Update reports surprising optimism from IT workers participating in a recent poll both on the economy and their ability to find a new job. The survey also reveals how many of these IT workers are likely to pursue new job opportunities in the next 12 months. IT workers expressed surprising confidence in the strength of the economy and job availability in a new study released this week, signaling optimism about the sector's prospects and the market for IT jobs.

The Technisource IT Employment Report, based on a survey conducted in the U.S. by Harris Interactive, concluded that although many parts of the economy are still in the doldrums, IT employee confidence is at the highest level it's been in more than three years.
