iTouch, 365 Clinch Mobile Content Deal

[Cape Town, SOUTH AFRICA] Interactive mobile services company iTouch announced on Wednesday that it has concluded a deal with digital entertainment and sports content provider 365 Corporation. The deal will allow the company to disseminate branded content over its range of electronic platforms.

iTouch plc, based in Cape Town, currently streams content from the Independent media group (a 70,6% shareholder), I-Net Bridge and cellular service provider Vodacom.

The deal adds another string to iTouch's bow as the mobile service provider will have exclusive rights to 365 content for a one-year period.

The company will distribute this content across all its platforms including WAP, interactive voice response (IVR) and short messaging service (SMS).

The 365 content includes a number of high profile sports Web sites including rugby365, cricinfo365, football365, racetips365 and Formula One site, planet-f1.  Entertainment content includes the brands music365, trivia365, personals365 and gardening365.

iTouch revealed that this the deal also allows the company to distribute 365 content throughout its international operations in the UK, Ireland, Australia, Israel and New Zealand. This will do much to expand its service offering prior to its listing on the London FTSE, scheduled for this month. The company expects the initial public offering to raise about $150 million.
