MultiEmedia E-Nables ANZ Small Business Site

[Sydney, AUSTRALIA] Internet technology developer MultiEmedia.com has finalized its alliance with the ANZ Bank announced last month.

Under the deal, ANZ will take an initial 15 percent stake in MultiEmedia, with the option to expand its stake during the three-year term of the alliance, while appointing an ANZ director to the MultiEmedia board.

The agreement allows the ANZ BizSite to use MultiEmedia's Zone Studio product, which offers ANZ's small business customers the opportunity to create, edit and maintain professional e-commerce enabled Web sites without needing HTML or Web design skills.

"We see the provision of our Zone Studio software as the first of many products we can offer to ANZ customers to support them with their e-commerce and Internet strategies," said MultiEmedia's director of business development and alliances Jamie Bartels.

"Over the coming months, we will be investigating other opportunities with ANZ to determine how our technology and expertise might be of value in other areas," he said.

As a result of the partnership, ANZ has also gained exclusive access to MultiEmedia's technology within the financial services sector, a condition which is expected to directly benefit ANZ's small to medium-sized customers.

In recent weeks, MultiEmedia has signed alliances with Deloitte Consulting and Hewlett Packard to offer the pair e-business applications to provide to their customers.
