Go2net Signs Licensing Agreement with Bloomberg

Seattle-based Go2net announced yesterday that it has agreed to license its Silicon Investor message board technology to New York-based distributor of information services Bloomberg.

A private-label version of Silicon Investor will be delivered to Bloomberg within 60 days. This version is expected to be used by Bloomberg's worldwide network of financial professionals.

As part of the agreement, all Bloomberg Professional users will receive premium memberships to Silicon Investor. Using Go2Net's technology infrastructure, they will be able to view and post messages directly from their Bloomberg terminals.

In addition, Bloomberg users will have access to Silicon Investor's searchable base of more than 14 million messages posted to-date.

According to Go2net Chairman and CEO Russell Horowitz, moving forward, Go2net will continue to aggressively develop additional global distribution opportunities with the highest quality partners in narrowband, broadband, and wireless for its technology platforms.
