Loc8.net Changes Name

Loc8.net, a Kirkland-based company providing wireless location-based services and portable tracking devices, announced today its name change to Locate Networks, Inc.

According to Michael Crowson, co-founder and CEO of Locate Networks, the name change is meant to more clearly reflect the business of the company. "The new name more clearly reflects the business we're in, providing the network of systems that makes highly accurate location possible, even indoors."

The name change marks the beginning of the company's efforts towards building brand equity in the marketplace.

Locate Networks develops and provides nationwide wireless location-based services to manage and locate valued assets and people.

"Our proprietary systems and strategic business alliances allow us to provide an end-to-end wireless location solution with nationwide coverage," explains Howard Gefen, the company's Chief Marketing Officer. "We are first and foremost an enabler, making it easy for our customers to offer their customers the most accurate wireless location technology and service available."

Despite the name change, the company intends to continue all operations and product plans as usual.
