Zulu Broadcasting Unveils Portable Video Webcaster

Zulu Broadcasting unveiled Video VAMOOSE, a hand-held portable video Webcaster that plugs into any camcorder and streams live video and audio to the Internet.

It is designed to broadcast events to any of the five Zulu Broadcasting Web channels or to a company's internal network.

"The consumer oriented nature of Video VAMOOSE lets everyone become a Webcaster without having to be a computer genius," said Nicole Pennell, VP of Broadcasting Services at Zulu Broadcasting. "If you can surf the web and use a camcorder you can now be a web broadcaster."

Battery or AC/DC powered, Video VAMOOSE can be worn around the waist or sit on a desktop for static applications. It includes built-in Internet connectivity for up to two standard telephone lines and has Ethernet support. Video quality scales to bandwidth conditions, with the highest quality being 720 x 486 pixels at 30 frames per second. An integrated LCD screen shows the connection options and other controls.

The Video VAMOOSE portable Webcaster is scheduled for availability in mid-September.
