Gatsby Is New Web Database Tool

Gatsby Software announced the release of Gatsby, a new tool for building a Web interface for Microsoft Access databases.

"Gatsby represents a tremendous leap forward in productivity for Web application developers," said Shawn Cannon, president of Gatsby Software. "If you build a sound database, Gatsby rewards you with a rich, sophisticated user interface."

Gatsby is designed to give the user three different views of the database content: a Relational Navigation View, a Form View and a List View. Together, the firm said they help make the editing process simpler and quicker, allowing users to add, edit, delete and modify database content without needing any special knowledge of SQL or HTML.

Gatsby said the product has full searching capabilities, and can also recognize validation rules, default values, and captions and descriptions that have been defined in the database.

The price of Gatsby is $999 per server license. There is currently a special introductory offer of $795 that runs through September 30, 1998.
