CyberCash Enhances Payment Software for Site Server

Reston, VA-based CyberCash Inc. delivered an enhanced version of its payment component software for Microsoft's Site Server, Commerce Edition.

The upgraded software for Site Server Commerce provides enhanced security for processing payments over the Internet and makes it easier for developers to integrate settlement transactions into back-end systems, the company said.

"CyberCash's updated software will dramatically simplify the work of developers using Microsoft Visual Basic, Visual C++, Visual InterDev, Active Server Pages and other development tools for the Windows platform," said Nancy Goldberg, senior vice president of CyberCash. "In the end, merchants will find it easier to set up and operate Web-based storefronts and collect money for the goods and services they sell."

"A significant number of existing Site Server Commerce customers have turned to CyberCash to provide online payment technologies," said Anthony Bay, general manager, Commercial Systems Division, at Microsoft. "The latest enhancements to CyberCash's connectivity with Site Server Commerce provide the flexibility and customization that our customers have asked for. . ."

Merchants can add real-time payment processing to new and existing Site Server Commerce storefronts by running an install Wizard, then dropping the CyberCash payment components into the Order Processing Pipeline in Site Server, Commerce Edition.

The upgraded CyberCash software works with versions 2.0 and 3.0 of Microsoft Site Server, Commerce Edition and includes support for Microsoft Transaction Server, a component of Microsoft Windows NT Server. Pricing was not disclosed.
