[Toronto, CANADA] Canadian businesses of all sizes are expected to benefit from today's launch of JobsOnline.ca, the only major career Web site in Canada that is available at no cost to both job seekers and employers.
"Online recruiting can be a costly undertaking, especially for small to mid-sized companies. As a result, many employers choose to post primarily management level and white-collar positions," said Larry Organ, president of JobsOnline.
"That's not the case with JobsOnline. Our service is completely free, which allows us to present a rich database of jobs targeting literally everyone who works--not just those at the management level."
According to Media Metrix, JobsOnline is the most visited career site in the United States, with more than four million registered users and over 80,000 employers posting jobs.
In Canada, the JobsOnline.ca site has been up and running for the past three months, already generating 48,000 registered users per month, a potential of over 600,000 registered users per year.
The site guarantees complete privacy to its users, while offering them the opportunity to receive information and advertisements in their areas of interest.
JobsOnline was founded in July 1999 by Toronto native Larry Organ, an early pioneer in Internet marketing. Based in Chicago, and with Canadian headquarters in Toronto, the company introduced its Canadian service, JobsOnline.ca, in the summer of 2000.
