Davnet Broadens Asian Reach with Streaming

[Sydney, AUSTRALIA] Aussie telco Davnet has signed a service swap deal with broadcaster StreamingAsia Limited to allow Davnet customers in Hong Kong and Singapore to create and brand their own streaming video services.

"With video streaming, organizations and companies can incorporate video commentaries on their Web sites, demonstrate products, train their staff, deliver major presentations, hold interactive meetings - all delivered through the Internet," said Eric Chan, managing director of Davnet Asia.

Under the terms of the agreement, Davnet will provide sales and marketing resources, hardware requirements, operating systems and storage capacity for video hosting and Internet connectivity to StreamingAsia. Demonstration rooms in Davnet's Hong Kong and Singapore offices will display StreamingAsia products, including its flagship MyPowerStream software.

MyPowerStream lets users create their own video broadcasts supporting synchronization of speakers' audio and visual presentations with PowerPoint presentations.

Davnet will customize and market MyPowerStream software to its clients who will be allotted space for pre-recorded video broadcasts on Davnet's servers.
