[Toronto, CANADA] As if finding Stone Cold Steve Austin's mug on every T-shirt, television screen and trading card weren't bad enough, thestar.com, the Web site of Canada's daily newspaper, The Toronto Star, and Live Audio Wrestling Inc. have teamed up to bring the wrestling phenomenon to the Internet.
The new wrestling showcase, found within thestar.com's sports section at www.thestar.com/wrestling, will feature up-to-the-minute wrestling news and live audio bites from Live Audio Wrestling's radio show. Exclusive elements will include news and commentary from some of the most powerful wrestlers in the business, including Lance Storm; a column by Jeff Marek, professional wrestling's business expert and co-host of The LAW; and a regular column by The Star's seasoned sports writer, Norm DaCosta.
"We think Live Audio Wrestling will offer first class wrestling coverage and provide a Canadian perspective," said Phil Bingley, The Star's assistant managing editor for new media. "This is just the first of what will be a series of additions and improvements to our online sports coverage over the next few weeks."
Consider that a warning.
