1-0-1-0 -- On2.com -- Broadband streaming video play On2.com (ASE:ONT) and StarDSL have announced a strategic alliance that permits StarDSL to license On2.com's delivery platform. StarDSL will begin a test service of the broadband data delivery platform, Most Efficient Data Delivery System, or MEDDS, in Japan mid-month. Simultaneously, StarDSL will develop a set top box connecting PC and TV, permitting users to watch broadband video on their TV screen. "We are excited to be working with StarDSL and to be expanding our Asian alliances," said Douglas McIntyre, On2 president and CEO. "We look forward to making full-screen video on demand a reality in Japan."

1-0-1-0 -- ScreamingMedia -- Content provider ScreamingMedia and Australian content play BecomeMedia have inked a licensing agreement to provide ScreamingMedia's web and wireless-based content to enterprises in Australia and New Zealand. In addition, Australian and New Zealand-based media companies will have the opportunity to join ScreamingMedia's digital content network and provide content to ScreamingMedia's client pool. "When considering a partnership we looked for the company with the strongest content solutions platform," said Rob Gamble, co-founder and executive director of BecomeMedia. "Using ScreamingMedia's infrastructure, the content will be seamlessly integrated into the look and feel of a company's website, intranet, extranet or wireless network."

1-0-1-0 -- Oxygen Media -- Oxygen Media, a cable television and Internet business targeted to women, and the Academy for Educational Development, have joined forces to produce new programming aimed at stopping women ages 18-34 from smoking. "Women and Smoking: Seven Deadly Myths," an on-air and online program, is designed to empower viewers to become or stay smoke-free. The exclusive programming uses model, ex-smoker and anti-tobacco activist, Christy Turlington to show women the decidedly unglamorous, deadly consequences of smoking. The 17-minute television program will air exclusively on Oxygen television beginning Monday February 5. In addition, ThriveOnline.com, Oxygen's health website, will present a 10-minute video-stream version of the program.
