  • CompuServe is now part of WorldCom (NASDAQ:WCOM) and AOL (NYSE:AOL) as the $1.3 billion deal finally goes through. WorldCom spun off CompuServe's consumer accounts to AOL while it keeps the network side. Former 80% CompuServe shareholder H&R Block (NYSE:HRB) now owns 3% of WCOM.

  • Mecklermedia (NASDAQ:MECK), producer of this report, announces that the first issue of its new Internet World weekly was published today. The new Internet World was formerly known as Web Week.

  • SportsLine USA (NASDAQ:SPLN) reports record revenue and site traffic for the fourth quarter ended December 31, 1997. Quarterly revenue increases to $4.46 million from $1.26 million 4Q96 while net loss is $7.55 million or $.62 per share vs. net losses of $4.2 million, or $.49 per share 4Q96.

    Reports Web site page views increase of 251%, averaging 2.83 million page views per day during the fourth quarter of 1997, compared to 0.81 million page views per day 4Q96.
