  • Amazon.com (NASDAQ:AMZN) -- if you'd only listened to our prescient Internet Stock Report, Friday, April 24 when AMZN was $81 per share! AMZN is on fire today, zooms to near $100 per share as investors discount ahead its acquisition announcements (two booksellers and one movie database). The buys do three things: expand geographic reach to Europe, diversify products into videos and movies, and grow its customer base.

  • N2K (NASDAQ:NTKI) signs a two-year marketing deal with Web-based ticker seller Ticketmaster. This perfect blend of ticket buyers matched with CDs could be a win for N2K. But we think there's more battles ahead with rival CDnow in the concert, band promotions and every other music space.

  • Network Associates (NASDAQ:NETA) closes on its acquisition of Internet firewall software maker Trusted Information Systems. Network Associates is the new face on a handful of security software outfits including McAfee, Network general, PGP, and Trusted. While rivals CheckPoint Software (NASDAQ:CHKPF) and Security Dynamics (NASDAQ:SDTI) sleep Network Associates builds a one-stop security software shop for enterprises.
