The Web site, taiwan.internet.com, will feature original content written by local journalists, as well as content from the North American edition and will be offered in the Chinese language.
The site is expected to launch in March 2000.
internet.com chairman and CEO Alan M. Meckler said: "Following the success of our other Asian editions, we believe the market in Taiwan is prime for the type of content and services provided by internet.com."
"Taiwan has a powerful community of Internet and IT professionals and we are looking forward to providing daily local (and international) coverage of the latest developments in e-commerce, technology and in the Internet industry," added Meckler.
The Taiwan edition is a joint venture between internet.com and Taipei-based InteLink Taiwan Corporation.
The site will further extend internet.com's presence in Asia, which currently includes asia.internet.com, china.internet.com and japan.internet.com. The firm has recently announced plans to launch korea.internet.com, also to be available in March.
asia.internet.com also provides daily Internet technology and industry news on Yahoo! Asia, Yahoo! Singapore and Yahoo! Hong Kong.
