Surveys conducted by Pacific Internet had found that the majority of its present broadband subscribers who were connected from midnight to 8am were players of games on Pacific Internet's Pan Asia Gaming Network (PAGN) portal.
PAGN is part of the PACfusion.com community and functions as a content provision platform for gaming services in the Asia region.
The portal handles over 42,000 game sessions daily and is currently rated by The Champion's League for Quake as the fifth most popular gaming server in the world for "Quake" and the largest in Asia.
Pacific Internet is expanding its Broadband Power service to include three new sub-categories.
Said Nicholas Lee, chief executive officer of Pacific Internet, "I am pleased with our broadband take-up rate so far. Since launching the service in mid-October, we have already garnered a strong broadband subscriber base and we expect this base to increase rapidly in the coming months.
"With the new Broadband Express Plus and enhanced Broadband Power plans, customers now have a wider choice to cherry pick whatever plan that best suits their preferences."
