According to Dr. Mohd Hishamudin Harun, chief executive officer of Cybercode Sdn Bhd that holds 100 percent equity in Crest Online, PHRS offers digital health record of a registered user where it keeps track of his/her health condition and status.
The main objective of this scheme is to enable either patients or medical professionals to access the medical records from anywhere around the world, via the Internet.
Crest Online is banking on PHRS to contribute 70 percent of its revenue. The remaining revenue sources will come from private ambulance service, insurance companies and clinics through its call center.
H-Oli hopes to educate the Malaysian public on health-related issues and create awareness and promote a health wellness program.
"The portal works to provide better understanding of one's health condition, symptoms, illnesses, medications, possible treatments and alternative medicines," Mohd Hishamuddin said.
H-Oli aims to create a virtual medical community consisting of health practitioners, nurses, patients, students and the general public.
H-Oli has partnered with IBM Malaysia, Reliance Travel, Catcha.com, Mukmin.com and Cyberbang Sdn Bhd. to deliver its services via their channels.
Crest Online has also signed an agreement with King Faisal Specialist Hospital of Saudi Arabia to help provide tele-health services for the Gulf nation. Both parties are expected to exchange expertise and knowledge in the medical sector for the benefit of Malaysian pilgrims performing the Haj in Saudi Arabia.
