The event will be held in April 11-13 at the China World Hotel Convention Centre. Penton Media said that it has sold out the exhibition space and conferences and expects over 1,000 delegates at the event.
The major sponsors of the event include Motorola Digital DNA, Chinadotcom Corp, Netease and Ericsson together with 24/7 Media, Internet.com, Time, Asiaweek, Fortune and CNN.
Keynote speakers include: Edward Horowitz, chief executive officer of e-citi of Citigroup Corp; Mike Ricks, chief executive officer of Ericsson China; Jack Ma, chief executive officer of Alibaba.com; Yi Bo Shao, chief executive officer of Eachnet.com; Edward Tian, chief executive officer of China Netcom and Alan Meckler, chief executive officer of internet.com. The Ministry of Information Industry will also deliver a welcoming address.
Some of the investors in China will be lined up to debate "Investment in China: Boom or Bust?" during the event. They includes Xiang-Dong Yang, Goldman Sachs; Charles Shi, Softbank China Venture Capital; Hanson Cheah, Asia Tech Ventures and Jonathan Cheng, Incubasia. Asia Internet analyst Jay Cheng of CS First Boston will moderate the discussion.
A panel section named "China Portal Wars - Strategies for Success" will invite executives from Chinadotcom, Netease, Renren.com, Sina.com, Sohu.com and Yahoo! to debate the future and share their visions for success in the China market.
Internet World China will feature eight vertical conferences and forums, including: E-commerce Summit, Investment Forum, Internet Device Builder Forum, Enterprise Internet Technology Forum, Advertising and Marketing Forum, ISP Technology Forum, Web Development Forum and the Internet Security Forum.
