Cabletron Wins Asia Switched LAN Contest

Cabletron Systems has won the Asia Pacific Switched LAN ShootOut.
The contest is the regional version of a similar events held in Europe and the United States and was held in Beijing, Hong Kong, Sydney and Tokyo.
The ShootOut included an interactive seminar that offers senior networking personnel the opportunity to examine products and services demonstrated by industry vendors.
Robert Mandeville, a testing authority on switching, managed the seminar, delivered tutorials, and refereed the ShootOut and also delivered.
"The ShootOut was a uniquely informative event," said Trent Waterhouse, Cabletron's senior technology architect. "It gave Cabletron a chance to communicate our SmartNetworking solutions in a highly competitive and interactive format to top decision-makers and opinion-leaders in our key markets in the region."
