Citing improved quality of service to its subscribers, music service is launching a new broadband strategy to reach subscribers of high-speed cable and Digital Subscriber Line (DSL) Internet services.

As part of its strategy, has formed partnerships with cable providers GS Communications, Inc. and the ISP Channel, as well as Snap's new high-speed portal and cable Internet service @Home Network. will offer to its partners' users a new Web-based broadband media player, FacePlate, for free download. With it, users can listen to and customize its catalog of more than 150,000 digitized songs.

With technology advancing at a frenzied pace, streaming media companies are rushing to meet the increased quality demands by users. Josh Felser,'s president, said that expanding its relationship with broadband providers will allow the site to showcase its rich audio content with the highest quality possible.
