Artists can use IUMA's Web site self-publishing tools to create Web sites featuring unlimited bios, band member photos, tour dates, images, artwork, songs and lyrics. Artists can also customize sites, choosing the look and feel, button types, background colors and text colors, resulting in a completely unique Web site. All audio will be available in streaming RealAudio and MP3 format.
"Listen.com wants to make it easy to find both big name artists on the Web and to discover great unsigned acts like those on IUMA," said Dave Williams, vice president of marketing, Listen.com. "Thanks to IUMA's new tools that make it easier for artists to promote their work, Listen.com will be able to quickly expose IUMA artists to the millions of Listen.com users."
Once the artist's Web site is created, IUMA will export the artist's information to Listen.com for editorial review, categorization and inclusion in the Listen.com directory.
"Being reviewed and indexed on the Listen.com site is an important step for
an emerging artist," said Antony Brydon, general manager, IUMA. "In addition
to expert editorial review, Listen.com cross-indexes the artists and promotes
them to an audience of millions. It is one of the Web's premier sources for
information on downloadable music."
