The blinding speed and excitement of the auctioneers rippling rap is about to become a part of the Internet. Evoke Communications Monday announced that it will provide live online audio streaming for Live Auctions, a new feature on eBay Great Collections, which will utilize Evoke Webcasting to provide controlled delivery of audio streams to Live Auction participants.

"We want to provide a rich multimedia experience for visitors to eBay Great Collections and we determined that Evoke Communications was the company to help us accomplish our goals," said Geoff Iddison, General Manager of eBay Great Collections. "We selected Evoke Communications as our streaming media provider based on their depth of experience and solid reputation for providing high quality, reliable service."

"Evoke Communications is playing a key role in the evolution of eBay Great Collections and by introducing Live Auctions technology they also provide users with the benefits of our live streaming services," said Paul Berberian, co-founder, president and CEO of Evoke Communications. "eBay is one of the most popular sites on the Web and this agreement significantly expands Evoke Communications' customer reach and introduces large-scale auction audiences to our communications technology."

The Live Auctions technology on eBay Great Collections allows individuals to participate in the excitement of a traditional live sale from anywhere in the world. For auction houses worldwide, eBay's new Live Auctions feature is a powerful tool that provides the opportunity to reach eBay's more than 15 million users. eBay Great Collections showcases fine antiques, art and rare collectibles and allows users to access products that are normally available only via a live auction house floor.
