Automaker Porsche Cars North America Wednesday reached a settlement with 48 of 128 parties named in a domain name lawsuit.
Porsche had sued the companies in January in a Virginia federal court because they registered domain names that contained either Porsche or Boxter.
Porsche said the 48 companies signed legal documents agreeing to cancel their domain names. They also agreed not to register domain names containing either Porsche or Boxter in the future.
The remaining companies that have not yet settled have until March 31 to respond to Porsche's lawsuit.
Neither the companies that settled nor those still included in the lawsuit were named Wednesday.
