Israel's Dankner Investments Ltd. said on Monday it had signed a memorandum
of understanding with Microsoft Corp. to distribute in Israel its WebTV technology.
In a statement, Dankner deputy chairman Uri Levit said the WebTV technology would be among the Internet services its subsidiary Matav Cable Systems Media Ltd. would soon supply.
The technology allows Internet surfing on TV screens along with video, DATA, and multimedia viewing.
Dankner said a separate company would be set up with a licence to distribute the technology and supply
customer services.
