The Nokia WML Studio will enable developers to use Dreamweaver software to author WML content for delivery to Nokia and other WAP wireless device customers.
The studio for Macromedia Dreamweaver software enables the 650,000-user developer community to create WML decks and cards, insert WBMP images, modify text and implement anchors and events within the Macromedia Dreamweaver interface.
The WML Studio allows developers to preview their work on the Nokia phone simulator directly from Dreamweaver software. The WML Studio tracks the compiled size of WML decks and includes a debugger allowing validation of WML code as it is created.
"We see a need for developers and designers alike to have a familiar tool that they can use to create sites to run on multiple platforms, as wireless connections for Internet browsing is going to be a fast-paced ride in the next 2 years," said Neil Wooding, managing director for NetMaster Communications Ltd. "The Nokia WML Studio for Dreamweaver brings this dream a step closer into the hands of the people who will shape this future."
