Cyrus Intersoft Unites Java Apps

Cyrus Intersoft's demonstration of its Speiros platform takes the concept of "roaming profiles" where it should have been all along.
Companies like Microsoft Corp. are just starting to introduce the idea that you should be able to sign in from anywhere on the Internet and retain your preferences. Speiros lets any Java-enabled device on the network access any file or application from anywhere.
Speiros can be viewed as a platform or operating system, but it's written in Java and designed to run on top of a host system such as Unix, Linux, or Windows NT. It handles security and file access, and a company spokesperson claimed that an off-the-shelf Java binary application can be installed in minutes.
As far as running apps on any platform, they were demoing on an Apple iMac! Check it out at here.
