Rbid.com Joins Online Auction Fray

Rbid.com Inc. Thursday entered the online auction fray with a "live" auction site which allows the general public to sell products and services and pay no commissions.

RBID's free service will officially kick-off the bidding process on May 15. "Live" Auction will be a free listing site for users and merchants from the e-tailer's RMall stores.

The Rbid.com auction site will enable Rmall.com business merchants to move idle products by directing products from their Rmall stores to the auction site.

Rbid.com's auction services will attempt to aggressively compete head on with major players in this realm.

"The 'live' auction site utilizes advanced technology features that rivals our competitors including, UBID Inc., eBay Inc., Onsale Inc. and Amazon.com Inc. We have recently concluded major partnership agreements that will allow RBID instant access to millions of consumers and merchants," said Rbid.com's Peter Ferras.

"We are now setting out to establish strong name recognition in this emerging, lucrative and fast growing Internet market...RBID.com plans to compete, and compete well, in this sector."
