Pitney Bowes Allies With @Work Technologies

Stamford, CT-based Pitney Bowes Inc. signed a software distribution agreement with New York City-based @Work Technologies Inc., a provider of Electronic Bill Presentment and Payment (EBPP) software.

Pitney Bowes said it will distribute @Work Technologies' WorkOut software through its sales channels worldwide. Also, Pitney Bowes has incorporated WorkOut into its Digital Document Delivery (D3) architecture.

The D3/WorkOut architecture provides Internet billing functionality including data extraction, print stream parsing, bill document management, customer service, enrollment, notification, payment processing and tools for Web site creation and administration.

D3 is designed to enable high-volume mailers to use their existing legacy billing and statement applications to format documents for delivery via the Internet, e-mail, facsimile or postal mail.

"Organizations that need to implement EBPP services are faced with the challenge of integrating Web-based document delivery with their existing operations," said Jim Flynn, @Work's CEO. "What this agreement means for these organizations is that now they can get the best Internet billing functionality available from Pitney Bowes, a company that has over 75 years of experience in document delivery and a proven ability to implement high-volume production messaging systems."
