BizRate.com, NPD Group to Conduct Panel Research

E-commerce merchant rating firm BizRate.com signed an agreement with The NPD Group Inc., an authority in consumer panel research, to jointly develop and market co-branded e-commerce research products.

"We're working together to build the largest and most comprehensive panel of online buyers to date, allowing us to report in-depth on buying behaviors, attitudes and the evolving needs of the online marketplace," said Farhad Mohit, president and CEO of BizRate.com.

The companies said they will conduct online panel research using BizRate.com's Online Research Team of online buyers who have volunteered to share their opinions and shopping experiences. This group will be surveyed on a regular basis on a variety of online and off-line topics.

The first joint research product, covering the toy category, will be available in mid-November.
