Xoom.com and Mypoints.com Launch XoomPoints

Direct e-commerce company XOOM.com Inc. and MyPoints.com, a provider of Internet direct marketing, incentive and loyalty products, launched a new loyalty program called XOOMPoints.

XOOMPoints is a buyer loyalty program enabling XOOM.com's more than 10.5 million members to earn points by shopping on the Web with XOOM.com approved merchants and on purchases made from XOOM.com's direct e-mail offers.

The program will be managed exclusively by MyPoints.com. Financial arrangements between the companies were not disclosed.

MyPoints.com's Digital Loyalty Engine technology enables XOOM.com to provide its members and visitors with a private label loyalty program, including the ability to offer points for making online purchases and for non-purchase activity, such as clicking on banners and completing online surveys.

XOOMPoints members can also earn points by reading and responding to email delivered on behalf of XOOM.com as well as MyPoints.com's client base of more than 200 advertisers.

XOOMPoints can be redeemed for frequent flyer miles, free hotel stays and other travel awards, free long distance and a range of products from brands such as Barnes & Noble and Hilton HHonors.

MyPoints.com says it serves more than four million consumers and 200 advertisers through its programs.
