Mail.com Launches New Marketplace

Internet messaging services company Mail.com Inc. has partnered with e-tailer Value America to sell computer and electronics products through the new Mail.com Marketplace.

Mail.com Marketplace offers Mail.com members a one-stop shopping service accessible from their e-mail inbox.

Through the new departments powered by Value America, members will be able to shop for computers, peripherals, cameras and software from manufacturers such as Canon, Compaq, Hewlett-Packard, JVC, IBM, Microsoft, Panasonic and Toshiba.

Mail.com will generate revenues by acquiring new customers for Value America and sharing in revenue from sales made through the Mail.com Marketplace.

Value America will promote the computers and electronics departments of the Mail.com Marketplace through a customized version of its weekly newsletter featuring specials and other purchase incentives for Mail.com members.

Mail.com said it expects to begin offering versions of the Mail.com Marketplace through its network of ISP and Web site partners in the fourth quarter.
