eBay, AOL Launch More Co-Branded Sites

eBay Inc. and America Online Inc. Monday released four new sites together as a continuation of their four-year strategic alliance of launching co-branded sites.

The launch will enable clients of AOL (AOL), CompuServe, ICQ and Digital City to access eBay more easily.

"In addition to making eBay available on the Web at AOL.COM and on CompuServe, this roll-out expands eBay's presence globally on ICQ and locally on Digital City, allowing more consumers in more places to benefit from eBay's offerings," said Steve Westly, eBay's vice president of marketing and business development.

Last March, AOL and eBay (EBAY) announced their alliance to expand personal trading and community building on AOL properties. In August, the giants launched their first co-branded site for the AOL proprietary service, which gave AOL's more than 19 million members easy access to eBay's destination.

The sites may be found at: AOL.COM, CompuServe.com, Digital City and ICQ.
