Integretel in Alliance With SecureBill

San Jose, CA-based Integretel Inc., a telecommunications billing and collection company, formed a strategic alliance with SecureBill Inc., an Internet billing company.

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.

The SecureBill payment method is a secure, proprietary means to encrypt, authorize, bill and collect for Internet purchases of goods, services and access charges. SecureBill enables consumers to utilize their local phone bill as a preferred means to pay for goods, services, and monthly access fees.

"SecureBill offers consumers an alternative payment method for online purchases utilizing their local telephone bill as a billing mechanism," said Greg Calcagno, president of SecureBill. "Consumers can feel confident making online purchases using SecureBill without the risk of using a credit card or revealing any confidential banking information on-line."

"SecureBill is a perfect complement to our existing business line of billing and collection services," said Ken Dawson, president of Integretel. "SecureBill provides the vehicle for conducting online purchases and Integretel will provide the billing infrastructure."

Integretel specializes in billing and collection services for resellers, operator service providers (OSPs), service bureaus and providers of enhanced telecommunication services.

SecureBill will be showcasing its new product at the NetProfits$ Expo '98 in Las Vegas Jan. 12-14.
