Scudder Kemper Launches New E-Business Group

Scudder Kemper Investments Inc. launched a Scudder Kemper E-cubator Group and named Jay Kingley as managing director and head of the new unit.

Scudder Kemper said the E-cubator Group will create "transformational e-businesses that focus on financial services."

Kingley will report to Mark Casady, managing director of Scudder Kemper Investments, who leads the global mutual fund business.

"The financial services world is going digital rapidly. Some could view this as a threat. At Scudder Kemper Investments, we are going to make it an opportunity," said Casady.

Kingley, 38, comes from e-business consulting firm Diamond Technology Partners, where he was a partner responsible for the firm's financial services e-business strategy practice.

Prior to joining Diamond in 1996, Kingley was president and founder of Call Sciences, a venture capital-backed software and operational systems developer for enhanced communications services.

Scudder Kemper Investments is the global investment management business of Zurich Financial Services Group, which manages more than $290 billion in assets for institutional and corporate clients, retirement and pension plans, insurance companies, mutual fund investors and individuals.
