Bid.com Introduced as New Brand for Internet Liquidators

"Bid.com is an exceptionally strong and easily remembered consumer 'brand' that we will be building through hundreds of millions of advertising impressions across America Online, Bell Sympatico, GTE and throughout the World Wide Web," said Jeff Lymburner, president of Internet Liquidators USA Inc.
"Bid.com is one of the cornerstones of our 1998 consumer initiatives. Since January 19, we have introduced our unique next generation of interactive software; increased the number of weekly auctions held from two to three; and begun accepting American Express as a payment option in addition to Visa and MasterCard."
Following the Bid.com launch, the company said it will make a number of its products available for sale in the U.K., Germany, France, Italy, Japan, and Mexico.
