Yahoo! Expands Computer Shopping Services

Yahoo! Inc. today announced that TechWave and ONSALE, Inc. have joined its merchant program and will feature in the newly launched Yahoo! Computers site.

Yahoo! said that as of today, users can access TechWave's BuySoftware.com inventory of over 50,000 computer, software and peripheral products throughout computer-related areas within Yahoo!'s network.

TechWave's TryAndbuy.com will also be featured in Yahoo! Computers, where users can preview software online before making a purchase. Four year-old TechWave, based in Seattle, sells and distributes e-commerce software to more than a thousand companies.

ONSALE becomes the premier auction content provider for Yahoo! Computers, providing a live feed of current ONSALE auctions for desktop computers, laptops, printers, modems, monitors, scanners, video cards, and digital cameras.

Auction data is refreshed every 15 minutes on Yahoo!'s site to offer current pricing information. ONSALE said that buyers can place a bid by linking directly from Yahoo! Computers to the auction of their choice.

The new Yahoo! Computers area features news articles, product reviews, shopping services, chat, message boards, and other Web-based resources from the Yahoo! network.

In a separate announcement today, Women.com entered an agreement with Yahoo! to provide health-related message boards featuring content from Women.com's Healthy Ideas site.
