iCat Signs E-Commerce Deal With CNET

Seattle-based electronic commerce application company iCat Corp. formed a strategic alliance with CNET to bring e-commerce capabilities to the CNET and Snap! Online audiences.

Through the alliance, CNET and Snap! users interested in creating an online presence for their small or medium-sized businesses will have the opportunity to establish an Internet store risk-free using iCat Commerce Online, a new service announced on April 13.

iCat Commerce Online is designed to provide everything a small or medium-sized business needs to start selling on the Web.

"We have a vision of an economy where every business in the world markets and sells its services on the Internet," said Craig Danuloff, iCat president and CEO. "Through our relationship with CNET, we are targeting one of the largest and most valuable audiences on the Web."

Financial terms of the agreement were not disclosed.
